Lighthouse Rock 2022
Lighthouse Presents is elated to announce Lighthouse Rock 2022, a rock festival that will bring together some of Australia’s most highly regarded rock n’ roll musicians in one of the most picturesque parts of Queensland.
Rock fans rejoice. This October 15, “Lighthouse Rock” is bringing a world class Australian rock festival to Burnett Heads. The inaugural “Lighthouse Rock”(presented by Lighthouse Presents) is located by the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. It’s a perfect fit for fans of traditional Aussie rock, so wrangle up some of your best mates and organise a day trip.
Masterminded by Lighthouse Presents director, Gavin Hales, he enthuses, “After the success of many events we have showcased over the years, nothing excites me more than to bring this event to life and present it to the people of Bundaberg and the surrounding areas. It’s our goal for this festival to run annually and within a few years, it will transform into multi-day festival.”
“Lighthouse Rock” supports tourism in Bundaberg and is wholly committed to impacting positive change. We take this responsibility seriously, particularly since the pandemic has shaken our Queensland communities. Not only in Bundaberg, but also the surrounding regions. We work proudly in support of local charity initiatives to increase exposure and funding to the area.
Lighthouse Rock is also supporting Great Barrier Reef Legacy, the leading non-profit organisation working to save the biodiversity of coral on the Great Barrier Reef through the highly acclaimed Living Coral Biobank Project. Music fans have the option of donating $1 to Great Barrier Reef Legacy when they purchase each ticket, and all money raised helps collect all 400 species of coral from the Great Barrier Reef and keep them alive in a land-based ‘coral ark’ type facility for their conservation, and to assist in reef research and restoration efforts.
Lighthouse Rock is being held with a commitment to a COVID Safe environment. Festival organisers will work closely with and comply with all requirements of the public health authorities. If the show is required to be postponed, a postponement date will be announced, and patrons will be notified at the time.
